About the department:

Plarium is a multinational software development company specializing in mobile and browser games. We have studios in Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Michigan, Krasnodar, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa. Our games are currently played by more than 400 million users across 150 countries.

Plarium Kharkiv is looking for talented Unity Developers to join our Action Games Department, which is currently developing Mech Arena, a third-person MMO shooter. You can check out the game here: iOS, Android.

The front-end of the game is supported by two teams of Unity Developers overseen by Team Leads. The development team also includes Server Developers and a DevOps Engineer.

Our Unity Developers are tasked with developing new game features and improving existing ones, while also addressing feature stability and quality with the help of UI automation testing, unit tests, and integration tests. They also develop tools for extending UnityEditor, and are preparing Mech Arena for launch on PC and Mac.

Ability to work at Kharkiv office or remotely. Relocation assistance available.

  • Developing the game’s UI

  • Implementing in-game features

  • Developing netcode for multiplayer battles

  • Optimizing the game for mobile platforms

What we expect:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in software development

  • Good knowledge of C#, and .NET Framework, data structures, LINQ, and GC

  • Experience working with Unity, UnityUI, 3D physics engines, AssetBundles, UnityEditor

  • Ability to apply algorithms and the principles of OOP and OOD


  • Experience developing iOS and Android applications

  • Ability to optimize productivity using such tools as Xcode, as well as Unity’s Memory Profiler and Profile Analyzer

  • Understanding of the principles of render pipelines (OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal)

  • Familiarity with MVVM and ECS architectural patterns

  • Experience working with network protocols such as HTTP, UDP, TCP

  • Experience working with multithreaded systems

Test task

Technical interview
This will give you the opportunity to tell us about your experience and allow us to explain the technical aspects of the job. If you live a long way from the studio, we can arrange a Skype interview instead.
