We are looking for a talented Real-time VFX Artist to join our RPG Department, which develops Raid: Shadow Legends, a mobile MMORPG that combines battle collection mechanics and cutting-edge graphics in a dark fantasy setting. Our flagship title is enjoyed by more than 81 million players worldwide — you can find it on iOS, Android, and PC/Mac.
The successful candidate will become a part of a team of more than 100 professionals in the RPG Department. You will be closely working with 9 technical and VFX artists who regularly improve their skills and share their experiences. The project is made in Unity, but the team also uses a variety of tools for specific tasks: Maya for 3D modeling and UV, ZBrush and Blender for sculpting, Houdini for pyro, fluid, and destruction simulations, Substance Designer for texture generation, Substance Painter for baking and texturing, XCode for profiling, Amplify Shader Editor for prototyping shaders.
Creating concept designs and developing real-time VFX for game in Unity
Profiling and optimizing effects and game assets created by you or by others
Creating 3D models and animations for complex character VFX and game locations
Customizing the VFX of game characters’ skills using internal tools
At least 2 years of work experience in the game industry
Knowledge of the principles of motion, anticipation, dynamics, and other aspects of animation
Firm knowledge of the Unity editor
Experience creating VFX for games
Experience creating or writing VFX shaders in node-based editors
Knowledge of Houdini, Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max
Skills in 3D modeling and 3D animation
Experience creating and baking UV maps
Experience creating textures for VFX
Hands-on experience with particle systems
English language skills at the pre-intermediate level or higher
Understanding of hardware restrictions regarding mobile devices
Ability to accurately estimate task completion times
Experience working with Houdini and Houdini Engine for Unity
Hands-on experience with Substance Painter and Designer
Experience working with Git or similar version control systems
Officially registered full-time employment
