Plarium is a multinational software development company specializing in mobile and browser games. We have studios in Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Michigan, Krasnodar, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa. Our games are currently played by more than 400 million users across 150 countries.

Plarium Kharkiv is looking for talented Real-Time VFX Artists to join our RPG Department, which develops Raid: Shadow Legends. Raid is a collection MMORPG enjoyed by more than 76 million players worldwide. The game was nominated for Google Play’s “Best of 2019” Users’ Choice Award and was featured in numerous countries by Google and Apple. The game is available on iOS, Android, and PC/Mac.

Ability to work at Kharkiv office or remotely. Relocation assistance available.


  • Concepting, implementing, and optimizing real-time visual effects for our games in Unity

  • Collaborating closely with the development team to integrate visual effects into the gameplay and project structure

  • Handling visual effects in Raid: Shadow Legends and participating in the creation of new projects

What we expect:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in the gaming industry

  • In-depth knowledge of the principles of motion, anticipation, dynamics, lighting, and other aspects of animation

  • Experience creating in-game VFX

  • Experience creating VFX shaders

  • Familiarity with one or more 3D editors

  • Experience creating textures for VFX

  • Hands-on experience with Particle Systems


  • Hands-on experience with Unity

  • Experience creating VFX for mobile games

  • Understanding of mobile device hardware restrictions

  • Ability to plan and accurately estimate the time required for complex tasks

  • Experience working with Houdini and the Houdini Engine for Unity

Test task

After you have completed your test task and sent it back to us, we will need up to 5 working days to analyze it. If your test task meets our requirements, you will be invited for an interview with the technical team lead.
Technical interview
This will give you the opportunity to tell us about your experience and allow us to explain the technical aspects of the job. If you live a long way from the studio, we can arrange a Skype interview instead.
Meeting with HR
After the technical interview, you will meet with our HR specialists. They will give you more information on your development prospects in the company and provide details about the employee benefits program.
