Plarium is a multinational software development company specializing in mobile and browser games. We have studios in Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Michigan, Krasnodar, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa. Our games are currently played by 250 million users across 150 countries.

Plarium Kharkiv is looking for a talented QA Team Lead to join our Internal Software Development Department, which develops and maintains the corporate portal for employees. The QA team currently consists of three specialists.

The portal is a multi-module web application with a flexible role-based system. It provides services in the following three areas:

Internal communications – the portal acts as a company news portal, corporate document repository, and platform for communication between employees
HR solutions system – the portal records activity, recruiting progress, and evaluations. It also allows goal setting, goal reporting, and more
Tools – the portal provides access to such services as a meeting room booking interface and an interactive office map based on a biometric authentication system

The backend is based on ASP.NET Web API, and we use SignalR to increase application interactivity. The Web client is a single-page application using React.JS with flexible architecture and a dynamic module loader. The frontend development focuses on mobile optimization and uses a balanced approach to adapt the browser version for mobile platforms.

We also actively develop the administration panel of the application. This allows us to configure more portal functions. The main goal of the project is to improve our company’s business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing, improving, and checking testing processes
  • Giving professional feedback to the team members and planning their development
  • Working with the development team to quickly diagnose and solve problems
  • Conducting requirement analysis
  • Testing new functions of the mobile and web versions of the product
  • Carrying out regression testing

Requirements:

  • At least two years of work experience as a Manual QA Engineer in software development
  • Solid knowledge of software testing theory
  • Experience conducting business requirement analysis
  • Understanding of web development and client-server interaction
  • Knowledge of the development processes and cycles
  • Experience working with any bug tracking system (experience with JIRA is a plus)
  • Familiarity with Firebug or DevTools
  • English language skills at the intermediate level or higher

Desired:

  • Experience with REST APIs and JSON
  • Understanding of Agile principles and Scrum or Kanban methodologies
  • Experience testing web projects with a complex role-based system
  • Team management skills
