About the department:

Plarium is a multinational software development company specializing in mobile and desktop games. We have studios in Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Michigan, Krasnodar, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa. Our games are currently played by more than 400 million users across 150 countries.

Plarium Kharkiv is looking for talented Localization Engineers to join our Localization Department, which adapts our projects into different languages for millions of players worldwide. Our games are available in 18 languages and localization of the content involves collaboration with specialists based in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The localization process also includes the use of translation memory systems.

The successful candidate will work at our amazing Kharkiv office.

  • Localizing projects into English, Russian, and Ukrainian

  • Formatting, proofreading, and editing translations

  • Working with specialized software, such as computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, Git, Figma, and Unity Editor

  • Compiling localization kits

  • Reviewing technical documentation and using it as a basis for English descriptions of the interface elements, game mechanics, and features

  • Finding and fixing localization errors

  • Filing localization bug reports

  • Advising translators on issues related to our games

  • Analyzing feedback from the Western game community

What we expect:

  • At least one year of experience working as a translator or a localization engineer

  • Advanced English language skills

  • Russian fluency

  • Understanding of Western culture

  • Gaming experience and an understanding of common game mechanics


  • Proofreading, editing, and technical writing skills

  • Basic knowledge of SEO

  • Hands-on experience with CAT tools

  • Knowledge of other foreign languages

Test task
Our recruiters will ask you to perform a test task. This will allow you to demonstrate your professional skills and give us the chance to evaluate your work.
Waiting for feedback
After you have completed your test task and sent it back to us, we will need up to 5 working days to analyze it. If your test task meets our requirements, you will be invited for an interview with the technical team lead.
Technical interview
This will give you the opportunity to tell us about your experience and allow us to explain the technical aspects of the job. If you live a long way from the studio, we can arrange a Skype interview instead.
Meeting with HR
After the technical interview, you will meet with our HR specialists. They will give you more information on your development prospects in the company and provide details about the employee benefits program.
