Plarium Kharkiv is looking for talented Level Designers to join our Action Games Department, which is currently developing Mech Arena: Robot Showdown, a third-person MMO shooter. You can check out the game here: iOS, Android.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating game maps in Unity and adjusting their balance
  • Designing and testing game map mock-ups
  • Improving game maps through playtesting and iteration
  • Creating and maintaining game design documents
  • Analyzing and improving existing game maps
  • Collaborating with the game design, development, analytics, and art teams

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Level Designer or Game Designer
  • Understanding of level design basics and the role of a Level Designer in creating an enjoyable user experience 
  • Strong knowledge of Unity
  • Deep knowledge of gameplay theories and practices
  • Understanding of spatial composition, including architectural composition
  • Understanding of 3D modeling principles
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets

Desired:

  • Experience working with the action and MOBA game genres
  • Higher education in art or architecture
  • Basic skills in Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau
  • Understanding of F2P game monetization
  • English language skills at the intermediate level or higher

After you have completed your test task and sent it back to us, we will need up to 5 working days to analyze it. If your test task meets our requirements, you will be invited for an interview with the technical team lead.
Technical interview

This will give you the opportunity to tell us about your experience and allow us to explain the technical aspects of the job. If you live a long way from the studio, we can arrange a Skype interview instead.
