Established in 2009, the company employs over 1300 individuals across its three offices and animation studios.

The Data and Business Technologies department is responsible for full stack design and development of the company central data & ML services and business platforms.

The department is responsible for the overall projects, design, architecture and development of huge scale and very challenging cloud-based Big Data, machine learning and business applicative platforms for ensuring excellence in the performance of business aspects including: games & product design, marketing, retention, monetization etc.

Plarium is developing a state-of-the-art Big Data & ML platform to support its analytics, machine learning models and data services. We are looking for a technically strong and creative student, a real coder, to work with us on the design and development of Plarium's Big Data and Machine Learning framework on top of Google Cloud Platform.

Job responsibilities:

  • Design and development core modules in our big data platform infrastructures (hosting in Google Cloud, based on Hadoop ecosystem, Spark Core/Streaming/SQL, Scala, Python, AngularJS, Node.js, Kafka, Impala, Elasticsearch, Google Cloud Machine Learning Engine and TensorFlow) – our big data platform handles huge amount of information, through complex processing (CEPs, machine learning) in batch and real time modes, complex data searches, using pluggable services and UI frameworks.
  • Responsible for our production environments (hundreds of servers, billions of records per day) and for new features developments.
  • Responsible for research, analysis and performing proof of concepts for new technologies, tools and design concepts.

Professional requirements:

  • 3rd year of BSc. in Computer Science  (minimum GPA of 85)
  • Strong coder, experience in designing and developing a significant and challenging software projects (client-server, algorithm based, data oriented projects) 
  • Experience and strong capabilities in at least one high level programming language (like Java/Scala/C++/C#/Python)
  • Strong understanding of software architecture paradigms (OOP, FP) and design patterns 
  • SQL skills and experienced with relational databases (such as MySQL and SQL Server) and/or NoSQL databases (such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB and Impala) – an advantage
  • Experience working with cloud service (AWS, GCP, Azure) - an advantage  
  • Experience in client side development – an advantage
  • Work experience as a developer - an advantage 
  • Work experience in BI, Big Data and Machine Learning projects - an advantage 
  • Commitment to minimum of 80 working hours a month
