Plarium is an international game development company specializing in mobile and browser games. Our studios are located in the USA, Israel, Ukraine, and Russia, and consist of over 1,000 employees.
Plarium owns a state-of-the-art Big Data platform to support its different games and activities.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will utilize her/his expertise into designing predictive models in the fields of player behavior and game experience, and be a professional focal point for our data science team.

Responsibilities:

Build machine learning models that will meet the business objective, with high quality results
Be able to query and use very large data sets, including data pulling, processing and cleaning
Ability to deal with all parts of the modelling workflow – from research, data extraction, model selection and design, to deployment and clearly presenting and communicating the results
Collaborate with different business units (inc. a team overseas) in designing and implementing your solutions, making sure to comply with business needs
Collaborate with the different engineering and BI teams, making sure to comply with the technical needs and constraints
Conduct independent research and innovative thinking, keeping track with technology advancement and new tools and research in the data science field
Provide guidance and assistance for other peers in the data science team, including model & code review

Requirements:

At least 4 years of previous experience as a data scientist, out of which 1-2 years of previous experience specifically with Deep Learning frameworks (such as Keras, TensorFlow and PyTorch), preferably from the online industry
Experience with Reinforcement Learning - an advantage
Good knowledge of SQL and Python - a must
Deep understanding of mathematics and statistics
Deep understanding of ML algorithms & frameworks
Good understanding of big data platforms and querying tools (GCP- an advantage)
An academic degree in an analytical field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Natural Sciences
Research background or paper publication – an advantage
Experience implementing new ideas from paper publications into your models - an advantage
