Plarium Kharkiv is looking for talented Technical Artists to join our Action Games Department, which is currently developing Mech Arena: Robot Showdown, a third-person MMO shooter. You can check out the game here: iOS, Android.

A successful candidate will be part of the Technical Artists team that improves the project’s rendering features, creates VFX, integrates art assets into the game, participates in developing new features, and optimizes the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Rendering our mobile action game
  • Integrating 2D and 3D content into the game
  • Creating real-time visual effects in different visual styles
  • Creating functional prototypes
  • Profiling and optimizing the game to match technical requirements
  • Coordinating with art and development teams

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience working with Unity3D
  • Basic skills in C# scripting
  • Ability to create real-time visual effects
  • Proficiency in any 3D editor, preferably Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or Houdini
  • Strong knowledge of any 2D editor, preferably Photoshop, GIMP, or Illustrator
  • Understanding of the processes of creating 3D content for game engines
  • English language skills at the pre-intermediate level or higher

Desired:

  • Familiarity with parametric modeling processes
  • Experience using Substance Designer or Substance Painter
  • Experience working on mobile devices

After you have completed your test task and sent it back to us, we will need up to 5 working days to analyze it. If your test task meets our requirements, you will be invited for an interview with the technical team lead.
Technical interview

This will give you the opportunity to tell us about your experience and allow us to explain the technical aspects of the job. If you live a long way from the studio, we can arrange a Skype interview instead.
