The Business Performance department is responsible for enhancing the business success of Plarium by ensuring excellence in the performance on all business aspects including: marketing, games & product design, retention, monetization etc. The department build, operate and optimize the processes across the entire company through top of the art analytical capabilities & product understanding.

We are looking for a technically strong and creative student, a coder, to work with us on the design and development of Plarium's Big Data and Machine Learning framework on top of Google Cloud Platform. If you are passionate about technology, big data and cloud technologies. If you are a great coder, and sure you got what is needed to design and develop challenging data oriented solutions, this is the place for you.

Job responsibilities:

  • Design and development core modules in our big data platform infrastructures (hosting in Google Cloud, based on Hadoop ecosystem, Spark Core/Streaming/SQL, Scala, Python, AngularJS, Node.js, Kafka, Impala, Elasticsearch, Google Cloud Machine Learning Engine and TensorFlow) – our big data platform handles huge amount of information, through complex processing (CEPs, machine learning) in batch and real time modes, complex data searches, using pluggable services and UI frameworks.
  • Responsible for our production environments (hundreds of servers, billions of records per day) and for new developments.
  • Responsible for research, analysis and performing proof of concepts for new technologies, tools and design concepts.

Job requirements:

Hard skills:

  • 3rd year of BSc. in Computer Science (minimum GPA of 85)
  • Strong coder, experience in designing and developing a significant and challenging software projects (client-server, algorithm based, data oriented projects)
  • Experience and strong capabilities in at least one high level programming language (like Java/Scala/C++/C#/Python)
  • Strong understanding of software architecture paradigms (OOP, FP) and design patterns
  • Commitment to minimum of 80 working hours a month

Additional hard skills:

  • SQL skills and experienced with relational databases (such as MySQL and SQL Server) and/or NoSQL databases (such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB and Impala) – an advantage
  • Experience working with cloud service (AWS, GCP, Azure) - an advantage
  • Experience in client side development – an advantage
  • Experience in GitHub projects, collaboration to community projects - an advantage
  • Work experience as a developer - an advantage
