Plarium, a leading developer of mobile, social and web-based games with over 250 million users, announced today the acquisition of California-based Rumble Entrainment Inc (“Rumble Games”), a developer of massively multiplayer online (MMO) RPG games for browsers, and mobile devices. Plarium acquired the company to expand and diversify its portfolio of games.

“Plarium is excited to add Rumble Games and its team of talented developers to our family,” said Gabi Shalel, CMO of Plarium. “We see this acquisition as a natural extension to Plarium’s library of MMO strategy RPG titles that strengthens our position of delivering the highest quality mobile and web games regardless of platform.”

Rumble Games was founded in 2011 and its catalogue of titles includes the highly-rated fantasy action-RPG titles KingsRoad (2013) available on Android, iOS and web browser. The company recently launched Alliance: Heroes of the Spire (2016), an innovative hero collection RPG, on Android and iOS devices.

“Joining forces with an influential company like Plarium will help us create new and exciting RPG games for our fans, fans of Plarium and new gamers alike,” said Mark Spenner, CEO of Rumble Games. “We see a massive opportunity to leverage the strengths of both companies to grow Alliance and develop even more compelling games in the future.”
