QA Engineer (Action Games)

Plarium is an international software development company specializing in mobile and browser MMO games. Our games are currently played by more than 250 million users.

The Action Games Department is currently working on a new third-person MMO shooter. This project is being created on Unity using C#. The server side is based on .NET. Plugins are created using C++, Objective-C, and Java.

If hired, you would be expected to cooperate with Unity engineers and implement joint solutions to improve game engine performance. The successful applicant will be employed on a full-time basis at our Kharkiv studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of existing and new functionality in mobile games
  • Perform manual testing of game tools
  • Perform game balance, level balance, security, and performance testing
  • Perform manual testing of data migration
  • Analyze requirements and define acceptance testing criteria
  • Interact with game designers to define requirements
  • Interact with the developers, concept artists, technical artists, localization team, and tech support to diagnose errors
  • Create and update testing documentation
  • Monitor changes in the AppStore and GooglePlay requirements
  • Monitor Unity3D, Android, and iOS release notes

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in software testing
  • Experience in mobile game testing (iOS/Android)
  • Strong understanding of client-server model
  • Strong knowledge of software testing techniques and methods
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of the peculiarities of game map testing
  • Experience maintaining test documentation (test plans, test cases)
  • Ability to read logs and pick out important information

Desired:

  • Experience working with Unity Editor
  • Basic knowledge of C#
  • Experience in computer games across different genres
